The Pionniers were honored to be a part of the Caps Charity Game to support cancer #HockeyFightsCancer.  This successful game earned over $16,000.  The Caps came out on top in more ways than one, winning this by a score of 4-2.  Pionnier goals were scored by McLaughlin and Gallagher (Martin).

The Pionniers traveled to Fredericton to take on the Caps in what would be the final regular season games of the NB Irving Bantam "AAA" Minor League 2017-18.  The Caps took an early lead and held on to it.  Pionnier goals were scored by Lavoie (Lewey), Rideout (Lewey, Martin) and M.C. Lavoie.

The Pionniers get shutout against the Scorpions in the last meeting of the season.  After a second tie against the Scorpions yesterday, the Pionniers were out to get a win to end the four game season series, however they came up just short.  Despite having seven powerplay opportunities in the 2nd and 3rd periods, the Pionniers were unable to capitalize on an undisciplined Scorpions team.

The Scorpions travelled to town for the final two games against the Pionniers.  The first happening in St. Jacques ended in a 1-1 tie.  This is the second tie of the season against the Scorpions, who are top the top ranked team in the Irving NB Bantam Minor "AAA" League.  Goal scored by Michaud (Dube, M.C. Lavoie).

The fourth and final game agains the Sens this season was a chance for the Pionniers to redeem themselves and win one against a tea that they have struggled against all season.  However, the Pionniers could not seem to pull things together to out-score the Sens.  Goals from Michaud (Ketch) and M.C. Lavoie (Baker-Tompkins, Martin) in a 4-2 loss.

The Pionniers travelled to Negua this weekend to take on the Sens.  Although the Sens sit lower in the standings than the Pionniers, they have been a proven challenge to the Pionniers in the past month.  In this back and forth game, teams came to a head and ended regulation in a 6-6 tie.  Pionniers' goals came from Ketch (3), Lewey, Lavoie, and Gallagher.

The Pionniers met up with the Blackhawks for the last time in regular season action at the Belledune Recreation Centre on Sunday.  The Pionniers dominated most of the game scoring 6 goals in the first two periods and 1 in the 3rd from McLaughlin, Ketch (2), Michaud (2), Desjardins and Dube. Again, the Blackhawks came on strong in the late in the game, scoring three unanswered goals in the 3rd period to end this one in a 7-4 win for the Pionniers.

In a match-up that was plagued with injuries and illness, the Pionniers came out on top.  The Pionniers took control early and kept a healthy lead throughout the game.  The Blackhawks made a big effort to tighten things up late in the game, making it a final of 6-3.  Scoring was spread out among 6 Pionnier forwards with lots of helpers.

The Pionniers returned to the rink in hopes that the rust had been knocked off in order to put up more of a fight against the Sens.  Unfortunately, the Pionniers failed to come together and were unable to capitalize on many powerplay opportunities.  It will be back to the drawing board this week to work out some kinks in the system, as the Pionniers prepare for next weekend's Northern Group of Companies Bantam Minor "AAA" Tournament in St. Leonard, NB.

The Pionniers showed a lot of rust after the long break.  Not playing a game in 27 days proved to be longer than needed for some much deserved rest and relaxation.  The Sens  controlled most of the game and sent the Pionniers home thinking about what they need to do better in a 5-2 loss.

After yesterday's big win against the undefeated Caps, the Caps were out for vengeance.  The Caps kept a man or two in the penalty for most of the first period, but the Pionniers were unable to pull it together on the powerplay.  Rideout (Dube) scored the lone goals in a 4-1 loss.

The Pionniers faced the undefeated Caps in Edmundston in Jean Daigle Centre.  In a highly anticipated game between two of the top teams in the NB Irving Bantam "AAA" Minor, the Pionniers managed to come out on top with a 3-0 win.  The teams were evenly matched despite the score.  Goals were scored by AP Bradley Nadeau (Ketch, Rideout) and Desjardins (2) from Nadeau (2) and Watson (2).

The Pionniers came out on top in what was their highest scoring game of the year.  Some may call it an offensive battle where a total of 12 goals were scored between the two teams.  Scoring was spread out over seven Pionniers skaters, showing the offensive depth of the team.  The Pionniers take over the top spot in the league by winning this one 7-5.

The Pionniers faced-off against the Blackhawks for the first time since the pre-season tournament in Caraquet.  This game proved to be a heated match when the Blackhawks scored all three of their goals in a dominating 2nd period. The Pionniers managed to play consistent offense  to pull off a win with goals from Ketch, Theariault (Ketch), Lewey (Rideout), M.C Lavoie (M.Lavoie).

The Pionniers faced-off against the first place Scorpions in their second game of the weekend.  The Scorpions were coming off a full week's rest after the Pionniers battled hard against the Phantoms the previous night.  In a tight-knit game, the Pionniers managed to tie things up with the Scorpions late in the third, pulling the Pionniers to within one point of first place.  Goals from McLaughlin (Farrell) and Martin (Rideout).

The Pionniers traveled to Moncton to battle it out with the 3rd place Phantoms.  This bout proved to garnish three even periods with both the Pionniers and Phantoms scoring two in each the first (Michaud & Dube) and second (McLaughlin & Rideout) periods.  They remained deadlocked in the third when neither team could capitalize on any scoring chances.

The Pionniers played a much tighter game today against a hot Warriors goalie.  The Pionniers out-shot the Warriors 31-12.  The Warriors took the lead earlier and went into the 3rd tied at 1 a piece.   The Pionniers managed get two more past the keeper and win 3-1.  Goals from Dube (Rideout, Baker-Tompkins), M.C Lavoie, and Lewey (Gallagher).

The Pionniers traveled to Saint John for a two game series against the Warriors.  The Pionniers were able to keep their composure against an aggressive Warriors squad and finish the game with an 8-2 win.  Goals from Dube (2), Theriault, Ketch (2), Desjardins (2), and Gallagher.  Assists from Dube (2), Theriault (2), Baker-Tompkins (2), Rideout, Farrell, Lavoie, and McLaughlin.

Pionniers and Seadogs players showed their respect and remembered those who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice during an on-ice Remembrance Day service before the game.  The singing our our National Anthem and the Laying of a Wreath by both team's Captains.  "The Last Post" followed by a moment of silence and "God Save the Queen".

The Pionniers traveled to Saint John to take on the Seadogs in a weekend two game series.  The Pionniers expected a closer match-up, but in turn they burnt out the red light in a 6-1 blowout.  Scoring was shared among Dube, Lewey (2), Ketch (2), and M.C. Lavoie with assists from Lewey, Ketch, Rideout and Michaud.

The Pionniers played this one on the defensive side, not allowing any goals against while Schiver earned the Shutout.  Ketch and Watson (McLaughlin) each contributed one for a 2-0 win over the Warriors to sweep the two game weekend series.

In a tight first period, both teams battled back and forth to keep it even at zero for the first 20 minutes. However,  a penalty laden 2nd period open up lots of opportunity for both teams capitalize on the power play.  Ketch (Rideout) and Lewey (Martin, Farrell) both netted one end the 2nd with a 2-1 lead over the Warriors.  The 3rd proved to be another even match with both teams scoring 2.  Lewey had 2 from (Martin, McLaughlin & Ketch) to end this at 4-3 for the Pionniers.

After a good night's rest the Pionniers were back at the rink and ready for a rematch against the Phantoms.  The first two periods proved to have the Phantoms at an advantage with 2 goals over the Pionniers 1 scored by Martin and assisted by M.C Lavoie.  The Pionniers fought back hard in the 3rd, with genos from McLaughlin (Watson, Michaud) and Martin, ending this weekend with a 3-2 win.

The Pionniers struggled to get things going after a long road trip to Moncton.  The 'Neers managed to strike back quick with a goal from Lewey (Martin) after the Scorpions scored to open the 1st, but failed to net anymore in an eventual 4-1 loss.

The Pionniers who were missing two defencemen and a forward battled hard with a short bench to give the Phantoms a close game.  The Pionniers took the lead in the 3rd, but got into penalty trouble and failed to kill-off two crucial penalties within the final minutes of the game.  Goals were scored by Ketch (Desjardins) and Michaud (Desjardins).

The Pionniers came out strong in the first period, but their energy began to fizzle as the action progressed.  While the Phantoms capitalized on the Pionniers sluggish regression Baker-Tompkins netted the lone Pionniers goal , assisted by Michaud, as the Phantoms racked up five against the Pionniers.
